Kim Kubal offers her services as a consultant on recovery, codependency, extreme trauma issues, including sexual, physical, emotional, spiritual and ritual abuse. She has been in eight Twelve Step recovery programs, overcome many addictions over many years of recovery and therapy.
She is currently studying for a Phd in East West Psychology, having worked in this field for many years as a counsellor. Indeed, Kim has a broader perspective than most, being not only a survivor, but teacher, inspirational speaker, has a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology, as well as being a Certified Depth Hypnosis Practitioner and Shamanic Practitioner, and can do online counselling via skype. Kim has extensive and personal experience in the fields of trauma, grief and loss, addiction, extreme abuse and sexual and physical trauma.

Human Trafficking Training for Mental Health Professionals
This class is an all-day training covering the sharing from a human trafficked person, experiential exercises for therapists, scope of human trafficking, factors that contribute to human trafficking and consequences of human trafficking: impact on victims. It will also include identification and assessment, interventions, and finally countertransference, secondary traumatization, and self-care for the therapist.
Human Trafficking Training for Survivors
Kim has designed this class for survivors based on Kim’s own healing from human trafficking. The class is an all day workshop, including her personal story. It includes guiding meditation, exercises to heal negative role/thoughts/beliefs survivors take on as a result of the abuse. In addition, healing and safety tools are given. There will be a group sharing for any triggers that may arise for the survivors.
Survivor Groups
Classes will be given on healing from the physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of trauma, abuse and addiction. Class topics include: healing meditation, art therapy, group work on victim, people-pleaser, intimidator roles, as well as healing tools for all to use, and how to effectively deal with self-abusive behavior as a result of the trauma. All classes include group discussion and experiential exercises.
Healing from Spiritual Abuse for Survivors
Healing tools will be given, and interactive and experiential exercises within a spiritual context. Guided group meditation exercises will also be given to explore the survivor’s spirituality. By having a concept of spirituality or a Higher Power, the survivor will be better able to heal, stay present in their body, take better care of themselves, avoid self-abusive behavior and no longer feel alone. This group will be held on a weekly basis or monthly.
Twelve Step Recovery Classes
Classes will be given on healing from the physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of addiction. Class topics include: healing meditation, art therapy, group work on victim, people-pleaser, intimidator roles, as well as healing tools for all to use, some 12 step work, and how to effectively deal with self-abusive behavior as a result of the addiction. All classes include group discussion and experiential exercises.
Mental Health Professionals
Mental health professionals: trainings include “life seen through the eyes of a trauma survivor”, healing tools for therapists to use with clients, education on meditation and self-care for client, as well as oneself to avoid retraumatization, coping strategies for dealing with self-destructive behaviors for client, as well as explanation of grounding and centering techniques. Trainings will also include how to treat severe trauma and addiction, awareness of the roles of victim, people-pleaser, and intimidator roles in clients. All classes include group discussion and experiential exercise.
Hospital Staff
Trainings include “life seen through the eyes of a trauma survivor”, education on meditation as a tool for stress-reduction, and ways to take care of oneself in order to overcome re-traumatization, coping strategies for dealing with the self-destructive behaviors of a patient. Classes will be given on healing from the physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of trauma, abuse and addiction for a patient. All classes include group discussion and experiential exercises.
